More Paper Piecing for CAS Mix Up

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

My mixed media are Paper Piecing, Stamping and Die Cutting.

There's still time to join in at CAS Mix Up where the lovely Linda is asking for

I've had lots of fun playing with this stamp set.
Thanks again Sandy!

I confess that my first try with this was a total disaster.
I tried to cut each petal individually.
It looked like the flower had gone to seed.
Ugh!

So I started over and went with the whole flower and added the bottom part.

This looks so much better!

Our Design Team has some awesome inspiration for you!

I hope you'll join us with your paper piecing.
The challenge ends on the 24th.

Another card with an idea I saw on Google.
I used the cover to the paper pad.

This is one package of paper I've used and not hoarded.

I kinda wish I had some left.

This is so pretty, Bonnie! It kinda looks water-colored! That paper is beautiful - I wish you had more, too - I'd send Ethel over to borrow some!!

I love this one, it is a great design and that paper is just perfect. One thing I learnt doing this was not to choose pieces that are too small so I can understand how your first attempt went wrong. What a very clever idea for your second card, love it xx

Your flower card is so pretty. Love the paper pieced flowers and pretty scallop border. Great idea to use the cover of the paper pad for your second card, it is very pretty also. TFS

Both designs are stunning, Bonnie. I love flowers on the first card. They are so delicate and give the impression that the sun is shining through them. The second card is such an amazing idea to use such elements after patterned papers.

WOW are these ever gorgeous! Your use of color is incredibly beautiful, Bonnie! And once again you nailed it on your designing ability. And once again I am inclined to shop after seeing your cards!

I meant to add- you have my profound respect for being able to list every color of copic you used. I could never track that since I dump half of them and try them as I go.

Two brilliant looks using paper piecing Bonnie and I love the flowers and leaves and the curved scalloped edge to the white mat which shows up beautifully with the bright pink underneath layer, and then the second is really cleverly done with all the vertical strips of coordinating papers which has that same curved scallop edged white layer, and a lovely pink die cut sentiment. x

Bonnie, you made me laugh about your flower gone to seed, but your finished flower on this card is exquisite! At first glance it looks watercolored. A beautiful, sweet card design, too. It's all the more clear to see what a gorgeous paper pad you used when looking at your second card. I'm a designer paper addict. Hold me back!

Beautiful and delicate flowers with the soft pink paper piecing. Gorgeous design with the scalloped border. Your second card is genius to use the paper pad cover to create a second amazing card. xx

Bonnie, I had the same problem with the poinsettia I paper pieced for CAS Mix Up - I tried to do each petal separately but it came out a total mess, so I started again and did the whole flower as one and was very happy with it. I love your delicate flower and the pretty paper you chose for it! Great design with the scalloped curve and the co-ordinating pink paper under it.

Two fabulous cards, Bonnie. Nicely done on the flowers; I would have come to a sorry end cutting them out! I love your use of the paper pad cover; I thought you had layered some scraps. So cool and clever.
