Stencil, Coloring & Die Cuts

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I've finished my cards from the piece I was coloring in this post.

For this card, I found a piece of alcohol inked background that picked up the violet color
and cut a layered butterfly from it.

The sentiment is gold embossed and mounted with a very narrow edge of gold on
a snippet of the alcohol inked piece.

The second piece made me think of this seahorse.  I did cut him from copper foil
and used a piece of matte copper for the sea grass.

You can see how it shines in the next photo.

I've been trying to color a bit every day but the days seem too short to get photos
and write a blog post too!

These 3 cards are saying "Bring on Summer!" to me. The image backgrounds from your coloring pencils thru a stencil are so pretty!

The coloring using the pencils is so pretty on both and that purple butterfly is so rich looking. I love the seahorse and that card just shines.

Two brilliant ways to use that pretty background piece and the butterfly looks so pretty and tones in perfectly using an AI snippet, and then the super foiled and die cut seahorse, and the sea grasses go perfectly. x

Beautifully done on both cards. Love the picture that really shows off that seahorse. [Bunny]

Love that purple butterfly, and especially hire it looks on that soft, stenciled background. Thanks for sharing at Krafty Chicks Challenge this week!

Your coloring session has truly turned into two wonderful cards, Bonnie! I had no doubt, at all!
Your seahorse looks right at home - and so handsome in gold. But that butterfly really takes the cake for me - you'll understand. Wouldn't it be something if mine would allow me to paint their wings?

Your stencil background looks perfect for both cards. It perfectly creates the mood of both environments. I love the colorful butterfly cut from AI background and this sweet copper seahorse. Great cards

LOVE the cards from your pencil colouring backgrounds Bonnie! The butterfly IS the perfect colour to match the background. A beautiful and elegant card! And the second background is just perfect for an underwater scene. The seahorse and reeds look beautiful in copper! Looks like you are having fun colouring in the challenge. Looking forward to what comes next! xx

Those stenciled and colored panels made great backgrounds for both the butterfly and the seahorse, Bonnie, and the slim colored borders really accent them. I love how you turned one upside down to look like water.

It's lovely to see how those pretty stencilled pieces turned into cards Bonnie! I love the little gold circle spotlighting the butterfly on your first card and I really like the way the copper sea grass turns white when it appears on the card base. I know what you mean about short days - when did days get so short?!! Vicky x

Terrific twofers. Love that gorgeous stencilled pencil coloured piece! It’s so versatile... as a sky backdrop for your beautiful butterfly and then in your underwater scene for your seahorse.

You made two beautiful cards using the stenciled and colored panels, Bonnie! The lavender AI butterfly is so pretty and the gold-ring-with-a-bow design is wonderful and unique! I love it!!
The other half of the panel makes the watery background for the copper foil seahorse and the matte copper sea grass. The echoing white seaweed die-cuts are nice touches.

I know what you mean, Bonnie, about the days seeming too short! I'm not sure where the time goes. Love your cards with the soft colouring in the background. The butterfly with the narrow gold border on its circle is beautiful, and the copper seahorse and seaweed is wonderful.

I almost missed this post! Oh woe is me ....
I love these color and such a wonderful under the sea card. I think the little bubble embellishments really make this card special. Looking at all three cards it is hard to pick a favorite - I will have to pick the last sea horse card.

The pretty stencil colouring looks fabulous on both of these beautiful cards Bonnie. Wonderful colours on the first and WOW to the copper on the second x. Yes I know what you mean about not having enough hours in the day x.

I loved your stencil background on your previous post and love what your twofer. The effect of using copper for the second is perfect and of course I always love your butterflies ♥

What a fantastic way to use the artwork on the backgrounds you had made. I love that you did that in two pieces for two cards in different colors. That was brilliant, Bonnie. I love the design and die cuts on both of them. Both of these really caught my eye!

What a great design Bonnie and two lovely cards as a result. I like the panel effect and the way you have extended the design beyond it. x

These are sooooo pretty, Bonnie! I love the skinny gold circle on the first. Little things make such a difference. I hear you about coloring, photographing, and blogging all in one day. Doesn't happen here. Since the remodel started I'm lucky to do ONE of the aforementioned!
