Stronger Together for Twofer

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

It's time for another Twofer Challenge!

This month's challenge is...

I've used some leaves from a Simon Says Stamp set that a sweet friend
gifted me.

For my first card I used 2 of the stamps, inking them and coloring with
Tombow markers and blending the color with a waterbrush.

I did a card front sized panel then cut this section out leaving an awesome frame
that hopefully you'll see at a later date.

To soften the background a bit, I've added a piece of vellum.  It's hard to tell
since it covers the whole card front.

A stacked die cut and some heat embossed strips take care of the sentiment and
I bravely added some splatters.

For my Twofer...

I used one of the leaf stamps from the first card and another from the set to
hold up the birdhouse.

I've inked and colored the leaves in the same way as the first card only using
Fall colors instead.  It seemed perfect for a Thanksgiving card.
Always good to have things done early!

We have two Guest Designers this month.  Be sure to check out what Alison
and Natalie and our awesome Design Team have done to inspire you.

I hope to see you Twofers in the gallery!

What gorgeous leaves, Bonnie ... the flow of them on each of your cards is just brilliant! Fantastic soft colouring, whether in fresh spring or rich autumn colours ... delicious splatters on the first (that was brave!) ... and such a cute little bird house on the second (the cork texture is yummy!). Hugs, Anita :)

I like the leaves as a background on your first card. The second card is so colorful and pretty. That teeny bird is so adorable peeking in the birdhouse.

Two great cards, with fabulous colouring. What a good idea to make one a Thanksgiving card so that you could use autumn colours! That little bird and its birdhouse are so sweet. For the other card, the leaves made a perfect background.

Bon, your two different designs both rock my world! I love the green leafy background, beautifully colored and softened with the vellum! Great job on the schplatters! And you were beyond clever using the stem as a foundation for that darling birdhouse in your second design. Love the overhanging leafy branch in fall colors and that's an awesome sediment. Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Love, Dolly p.s. Can't wait to see the leafy frame used on a card!

Both cards are beautiful, Bonnie! The first card does have a softer image. Love the leafy background and perfect fine spatters. The green and brown make a great color combo. Love the design of the second card - the bird house, the foliage, and the sentiment are placed in the perfect positions. Wonderful twofers!

These are both great Bonnie! I particularly love the coloring on the leaves as well as the design. In fact I ran to my Tombows to see what colors you used. I could never get that shade of green so thanks for the combination! Love the subtle stamping behind that cute bird house card.

Both cards are beautiful Bonnie. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the 'frame' on card number one and love those splats x. What a fun idea to use part of the stamp set to hold up the birdhouse. Both very different and both fabulous x.

Wow Bonnie, what beautiful twofers! I love the leaves you used, and I love the way you stamped them. The first card is just gorgeous, the vellum gives such a pretty soft look to those leaves, love the splattering as well. Your second card is equally beautiful in those rich fall colors. I love the "ghost" branches in the background, the birdhouse is so sweet, but it is the leaves that just steal the show. A great Thanksgiving fall card! Hugs, Brenda

Can I just say that I love these? That leaves stamp is gorgeous. It works so well for both seasons, and your leaf painting technique is spot on! I'm loving the colors on both cards, too. Such a sweet little cork birdhouse and birdie as well. Those extra little touches, the bit of twine and the EF on your second card, add just the right amount of "oooh, I like that," to your cards. Awesome Twofers. Love them!! Stay safe. Bev
