Orange and Teal for Color Hues

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Time for a new challenge at Color Hues.

Out talented Jules has given us this fun color combo.

I think feathers work well for masculine cards and I liked these colors for feathers.

I've cut them from watercolor paper and colored with re-inkers and water for
saturated colors.   When the teal feather was dry, I stamped it with a filagree
stamp with teal ink to add a bit of texture.  (It's actually almost invisible
to the naked eye, but I know I did that.)

To get a bit of color on the tag, I used a damp waterbrush and swiped the
colored feathers to get light color.

An embossed background and twine bow finished off the CAS card.

The very talented Design Team and our Guest Designer Renate, have some
beautiful cards to inspire you.  I can't wait to see what you can do with these colors!

Please join us at Color Hues
This challenge is open until April 14th at 9:00 AM EDT.

Ohh, I love your orange & teal feathers. They are so pretty. The Pinewood Planks embossed background is perfect with them.

I love these colors! Funny thing is, I've had this combo on my reminder list for ages, but then I forget to look at my reminder list.
A beautiful card with the feathers on the plank background!

I just finished two cards with a similar color way but they're for a future DT challenge. I may be able to come up with something else for Color Hues though. I love the saturated colors on your feathers and the softer version on the tag. Great card, Bonnie! (Just so you know I read the entire post - it's not the middle of the month. lol)

Gorgeous card and feathers, Bonnie. I really love the planked EF background as it is subtle enough but still makes a statement. Take care!

I do love this combination of colours for the challenge and the feathers look perfect over the woodgrain background Bonnie, and beautifully finished with the added sentiment tag and twine bow, and that bit of filigree stamped on the teal feather does show up and was a great idea. x

Love the shades you chose.

A fab masculine make Bonnie, love the plank embossing which adds a masculine touch. Adding a hint of the colours to the tag is a great way to link it to the feathers without overpowering them. :)

It's a perfect CAS design, Bonnie! I love the feathers with the bold colors, and your shading is wonderful as well. Layering them on the raise and embossed panel add so much interest.

Next to birds, feathers are a fave and I love the simplicity of your card using the two colors! Masculine and pretty at the same time!

I love this bold CAS card!!! Heck, I even love the doily background and bird. LOL! I need to remember my reinkers for this technique. Like Donna said, a very pretty masculine (but not limited to) card.
