Easter Eggs

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

This month the Group of Seven Cardmakers made cards using embossing paste.
This is a continuation of this post.  I colored enough paste to get two more
cards out of it.

First up is more stenciled leaves but this time on an Easter egg die cut.

It's hard to see the stenciling with all the flowers and butterflies.

I colored some embossing paste with re-inker, spread some over a stencil and smoothed
it out, then removed the stencil and cleaned it and the palette knife.

After the paste was dry, I sponged a bit of ink around the edges of the egg
to add some depth.  Flowers, grass, a bow and butterflies finished it.

I had some paste leftover and hated for it to go to waste, so I spread it over another
die cut Easter Egg.

I love the texture that was left behind!

The flowers were die cut from scraps of white cardstock.  I added a bit of color to the
centers of the flowers with a finger dauber and some WOS on the bow to make it sparkle.

What beautifully decorated Easter eggs on your two cards Bonnie, and I love the mix of pink flowers and green leaves and sweet little yellow butterflies on the first and such a terrific pierced leaf design on the background, and a great idea to use the green coloured paste up on the second egg itself the texture of which looks wonderful, and more pretty flowers and leaves and the ornate pink bow on both cards which really finishes it well, and each with a lovely sentiment too. x

What beautifully decorated Easter eggs, Bonnie. So glad you used up the rest of your colored paste to make them. The second one looks like wall texture I did in a room in my old house so you know I love it.

Faberge has nothing on you, Bonnie! These are both so gorgeous - I do love that texture of plaster on your second egg so much and this gorgeous grey-green!

I like the shade of green you mixed up for these two little works of art. Same egg, yet both so different. Two beauties, Bonnie!
PS Thank you ever so much for the thoughtful card xo

Bonnie, I'm just enchanted by both your cards! They're both simply beautiful and dreamy with a plethora of fun dies that went into them. I love the look of the texture from the paste on your second egg. I think that card is my favorite. Thank you for sharing with us at Double D!

Beautiful! I love both cards, but my fave is probably the solid marble egg, only because I love the marbling it shows. Really, both cards are fantastic

Oh my gosh ... two AWESOME egg cards Bonnie. LOVE the first one with the embossing paste leaves. It adds so much to the background of your egg with your gorgeous flowers and butterflies on top. And what a great way to use the leftover paste!! Your egg is filled with texture and it makes a fabulous backdrop for your beautiful arranged flowers. xx
