Dreamy Wisteria

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Sadly I needed another sympathy card.  It seems like I'm needing more
of these lately.  I have some in my stash, but this is for a very special person
and it warranted a special card made just for her.

I found the stenciled wisteria in my UFO box.  It was a past calendar page and
the coloring was a little too bright so I added a piece of vellum over top
and framed it.  It was impossible to get a good photo with the vellum.

The butterfly was in with the die and had been cut from a shimmery paper.

I wanted to leave the front uncluttered so I added the sentiment inside the card.

Challenges:
Memory Box #118 - Butterflies
Stencil Fun - ATG using stencils
Time Out #286 - Use at least 2 of the words in the prompt below (I used stencil and floral)

Card Recipe
Stamps:
Ink:   Wilted Violet, Shabby Shutters (DI)
Paper:   Neenah Solar White, Vellum
Other:  Wisteria Stencil (TCW), Notched Corner Frames (PFS), Subtle Texture EF (ret SU), Dreamy Butterfly (MB)

Enjoy!

Bonnie, I'm so sorry another was needed but you really do make the most wonderful and soothing condolence cards, my friend. I love the Wisteria - do you believe that butterflies carry the souls of our loved ones? A story I heard recently believed to be the reason all those Monarchs gather in Mexico! I like it a lot.

Sorry you needed another sympathy card, but I know what you mean about needing more lately. Your wisteria card is dreamy and very pretty with the vellum and frame over it. The butterfly is a special touch too. TFS

I know your thoughts and card will be appreciated. The use of vellum gives the Wisteria a dreamy other world appearance. And I just noticed, you named your creation Dreamy Wisteria.

I love wisteria and it's perfect for a sympathy card, Bonnie. So sorry you needed one. The vellum is a good trick for toning down a bright color. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Time Out.

I too am sorry to hear you needed another sympathy card so soon Bonnie, but hopefully this BEAUTIFUL card will let your friend know that you are grieving with her and praying for her. I love the look of the vellum over the Wisteria and how much it softens it, and that butterfly is just the perfect added touch! Lovely, lovely card my friend! Lots of hugs and prayers for you too Bonnie!!

The stencilled wisteria is gorgeous Bonnie, and I love the ornate frame and the added white and gold butterfly is perfect. Sorry for your friend's sad loss, and it is always hard, but even harder to make a card for a special friend. x

Hi Bonnie, I am sorry for yours and your friend's loss. I recently had to send out six sympathy cards. Getting old is not for the faint of heart. That is such a lovely card and I could see it being used in different reasons (birthday, get well, etc.).

What a beautiful card with the dreamy wisteria. I'm recalling the scent. Heavenly. I'm so sorry you needed another sympathy card, and this time for such a special person. The losses are hard to bear at any age.
