Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
It's time for a new challenge at Color Hues...
This month my dear sweet friend Marcia picked our colors. She chose....
Aren't these wonderful colors for late summer?
I used a fairly new Penny Black stamp with Memento Toffee Crunch ink
for a no-line watercolor look and colored with Zigs and my waterbrush. The
background has a pale yellow wash.
Now let's go and see what my talented friends and our
fantastic Guest Designer Priscilla have done to inspire you.
I hope you'll create a card using Yellow & Orange and add it to the gallery at
Challenge ends at 9:00 AM on August 29th.
The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge and the overall
winner will have the opportunity to be a future Guest Designer.
Most importantly, just have fun!

Bonnie, I agree that these colors are wonderful for some late summer bloomers! Goodness this is a gorgeous card to represent them! I have some bright yellow and brilliant orange Zinnias still going strong in my garden for our butterflies ... do I have any of them in stamp form? I'll have to check! Thanks for the pretty inspiration!

p.s. I LOve that frame!
Your soft Zig coloring is wonderful, Bonnie, and the yellow wash inside the frame lets them stand out against the embossing.
Oh I love this! Soft yellows and oranges but with such sweetness that only a good flower and a bit of texture can provide. While these would not be colors I'd pick, Marcia knew what she was doing with all the beauty in the gallery, and yours is a wonderful addition
A lovely color combination and a perfect card to display them.
A wonderful card in warm colors. I love how you used these colors—sometimes delicate and watered down, others intense. The stamp you chose is also fantastic, and the frame beautifully showcases them. This is a wonderful summer card, my dear Bonnie.

How very beautiful. x
Bonnie! It is beautifully colored and I love how you softened the background an framed it in. Another gorgeous floral card.
Gorgeous card in these colors Bonnie. Love the pretty flowers and the lovely background you placed them on. The embossing and pale yellow wash really make them shine, along with that lovely frame.
Such a beautiful use of these colors, Bonnie. I'm drawn to the warmth and the softness of it, including the delicate embossing. You know I'm a PB fan. So lovely.
Beautiful card using those summer colours of the challenge, Bonnie. Your no-line watercolouring is fantastic! Love how you embossed the main design before adding the lovely shaped frame. xx
Penny Black specializes in wonderful florals, and this one is no exception. I love how delicate these are, perfectly watercolored and beautifully framed!
No matter what the color pairing, you make the most BEAUTIFUL floral cards Bonnie, and this one is definitely no exception!! The stamp is beautiful to begin with and then your soft coloring with the Zigs is SO pretty! Love that soft background too! Thanks so much for making my color pairing SHINE my friend!! Hugs. :0) P.S. Sorry about the enabling...I absolutely fell in LOVE with the Ton stencil I used on my 1st card and have made countless color versions because I just couldn't seem to stop! I should post them all one of these days!!
This is so warm and pretty! Fabulous job with Marcia's colors!

Such a soft and mellow take on the colours Bonnie. We've had rain overnight but I don't think it was enough to save my garden from snurping up! :)
Super soft and delicate - I think your painting skills are what makes this card.
