Azaleas for CAS Watercolour

Hey there.  I'm so glad you dropped by!

I hope you're not too lonely with all this isolation.
I'm so thankful that I can keep in touch with my family and friends
through technology.

It's time for a new challenge at CAS Watercolour.
Susan is hosting this month and she chose...
Susan says: "I am looking for SPRING flowers - not just any flowers.
So please think snowdrops, daffodils, tulips, crocuses,
apple and cherry blossom, dogwood, etc."

Our azaleas are blooming right now and they're so pretty.
Almost every yard in our area has at least one azalea bush.

Here's another card using these azaleas.  I got a little carried away
and it isn't as CAS as it needs to be.  But I still like it and want to share it.

For both cards I've used a digital image from Power Poppy
and watercolored with my Zig markers and a waterbrush.

Our Design Team along with our Talented Guest Designer, Vicky have
wonderful examples of Spring flowers to inspire you.

I hope you'll check us out and share your watercolor Spring flowers with us at

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Such pretty watercoloured flowers and blue background Bonnie, and I love the semi circle shaped mat and apperture, and then the second card with that wonderful sentiment and this is a great digital image by Power Poppy. I love that the outline is very soft and doesn't take over the image. I have recently made a card with one and tried to change the colour when I ran it off so that it could be a soft grey, but for some reason it didn't seem to work. This is peerfect though and the colours are gorgeous. x

They're both so beautiful! Love the image and the coloring. Great way to use that die on the first card too. Beautiful cards!

Your water coloring is AMAZING! Wow, Bonnie! This is incredibly gorgeous. I stared for quite a while at the shading on this. I've yet to master the technique. Love this!

You are slightly ahead of us in the spring bloomings Bonnie - I just have the crocus and one bunch of daffs in a warm corner - others along with tulips are just shooting up their leaves. Oh and our forsythia has bloomed. Your panel looks like a lovely painting what a gorgeous blend of colors on both blooms and leaves! xx

Both are beautiful spring flower cards - your azaleas are perfectly coloured and shaded. I just saw my first azalea blooming here yesterday - that means we really are moving into spring. Love both of your layouts too.

Two gorgeous azalea cards Bonnie! Those images are amazing. I haven't used digital stamps for a long time but they do offer so much versatility. Your colouring is amazing on both cards. Love the depth of shading to give the flowers a 3-D look. xx

You have been busy Bonnie, and both these cards are exquisite - loving the azalea flowers - i have a couple of azalea bushes, but have to shelter them from the frost or the flowers get burned :(
Stay safe

These are both beautiful cards Bonnie and your watercolouring is absolutely spectacular! Love the sort of globe effect of the first and the exuberant sentiment on the second.
I too am so thankful for technology, both for keeping in touch with family and friends here and also for keeping in touch with my card making friends here in Blogland.

Bonnie, these cards sure are winners for a "think spring" mode. Luv them...beautiful watercoloring. The arch dies on the first and heartfelt sayings on the second are special and add a lot to each card.
Happy Spring, my friend.

What a beautiful digi image and what beautiful water coloured cards Bonnie x. The first one looks so striking with the die cut aperture. Extra special colouring on card number two and a beautiful sentiment too.
I love it when our azaleas come out Bonnie, as they are so beautiful and so are your cards x.

Two beautiful cards for the challenge. The watercolor is so gorgeous. I love the shading on both and that Live, Dance, Laugh sentiment is wonderful. We sure need to do all three of those right now, especially laugh.
