Blissful Colours for Penny Black

Hello there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Today I'm Guest Designing for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge.
It's an honor and a pleasure to be designing for them this month!

This challenge is always Anything Goes with an option.
This month's option is Use Your Favorite Colors.

I have so many favorite colors depending on the season.
This orchid/light blue combination is a favorite.
My mother had a brooch with these colors that I always loved.

I've stamped this gorgeous flower on Mixed Media paper with
Archival Shadow Gray ink and colored with Arteza Twimarkers and a waterbrush.

The wash was done with Tumbled Glass re-inker on a wet background
and the sentiment was stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink.

I used this curved edge die by Penny Black to emboss the card front.
Embossing with a die is the challenge at CAS Mix Up this month.
It's one of my favorite techniques!

I hope you'll check out the awesome inspiration cards at both these
challenges then join in.

Challenges:
Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Anything Goes/Option Favourite Colors
CAS Mix Up - Embossing with Dies

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

An honour well deserved dear Bonnie. This beautifully watercoloured bloom is refreshing and the dry embossing compliments it superbly. This colour combo of secondary colours really work wonderfully together. Love the dramatic allure. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! xx

Did you happen to see Jennifer McGuire's post on Gel Plate printing where rather than using acrylic paints she used DOX inks? Very pretty and I have LOTS of DOX inks...my new Gel Plate and brayer will be here tomorrow thanks to amazon and I can't wait to get started! :0)

Congrats on your guest spot, Bonnie! It would be hard to pick a favorite color, but I'd probably end up with yellow. Love the orchid on this pretty flower. SU Orchid Opulence was always a favorite color and I still use it fairly often. Very nice CAS design with the curve and the one rounded corner. Style and elegance!

They are lucky to have you Bonnie as you are a very talented lady and you always showcase Penny Black stamps so well! I love this card you have made, the colors are so beautiful! I love the sky, just so beautiful. The flower is equally beautiful, and your watercoloring looks amazing. Looks like you are enjoying the Arteza Twinmarkers and looks like they have nice vibrant colors. I love that die you embossed it, it is cool look, kinda' like a zipper! Hugs, Brenda
