Bear Hugs

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I have a threefer to share with you today.

First up are a couple of valentines for grandsons.

All of these bears are colored with Copics.

I've stenciled a little in the background of this one, given him a heart and
framed him with this UFO frame.

This time he's cut with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle and his sign includes
a die cut and heat embossed hugs,  His heart is punched and heat embossed too.

For my threefer....

This time I masked off the sign when I stamped and replaced it with
a string and a balloon punched from an alcohol inked background.

The plaid paper was bearly big enough for a narrow mat, but I was able
to make it work and even salvaged some tiny pieces to add to the tag.
The background is inked with brushes and some tiny sprigs of grass
finish off the scene.

Unfortunately this stamp set has been languishing in my NBUS box for
far too long and has been discontinued.  Why do these companies retire their
stamps so quickly?

Challenges:
NBUS #35 - Never Before Used Schtuff
Snippets Playground #421 - Use your snippets (I used snippets for balloon, tag and mat)

That's one adorable bear and three super cute cards Bonnie x. Yes a shame that the stamp set has been discontinued x. I love the 'bear hug' sentiment and 'hugs enclosed' and great use of the pretty plaid in the last one Bonnie x.

Adorable card! Love that bear as well as the sentiment that goes with him. I can’t believe you were willing to color him three times. The idea of eliminating the sign for a birthday balloon is so creative. There are such fun cards, Bonnie!

Your three bear cards are all so charming and I like that they are all "same but different"!

Thanks for playing on the Playground swings with me earlier.

Great threefer with that adorable bear! Great layering and framing on all three. Love the way they all have hearts on their chests.

I love that you used the same bear stamp but each card different. The boys can compare and enjoy all three. I don't know why some companies retire stamps so quickly, but at least you got this darling bear while he was still available.

Such fun cards and shows the versatility we can have with our stamps if we just take a few moments to explore.

The three different versions all look fabulous Bonnie, and that bear is so cute and perfect for the two valentines for your grandsons, and you have made a wonderful birthday card too, and I love the AI die cut balloon, and the tag edged with the pretty background background paper brings it all together brilliantly. x

I've missed so many posts at your blog. Including the fabulous calendar page for February. Sorry. Olympic Games...
The card with a cute bouquet in pastel is so nice and delicate. I like the hummingbird in faux cloisonné technique. Wonderful heart die cut is perfectly combined with nice pp and the bears are awesome. Each card is beautiful.
Have a nice day! Sonja

Three very different cards with that cute bear Bonnie! I have no idea why some companies retire their stamps quickly - maybe a 'get it before it's too late' policy to increase sales? Vicky x
