Holly Days

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

There's a couple of days left to join in at CAS Mix Up where we're using
an Emboss Resist Technique.

I've stamped the music from the Penny Black Footnotes set and
heat embossed in white before sponging Distress Oxide ink over top.

I die cut the holly from watercolor paper and colored with a waterbrush and
smooshed ink.  When I was done painting the leaves, I pressed them into the
watery ink left on my palette.

When the die cut was completely dry, I pressed it into my VersaMark pad
then heat embossed with clear powder for a shiny look.

Challenge ends August 24

also joining in again at

Anything goes with the option of music
I used the option this time

Ink:   Whisper White, Rustic Wilderness DOX, Real Red Marker, VersaMark, Garden Green

Fabulous card, Bonnie! The partial emboss resist music makes a perfect background - lets the card still be CAS. Love the holly sprig with the varied shades of green.

What a fabulous card Bonnie and love the look of the watercoloured holly and berries and then the added smooshing just give a bit more of a textured lookto the leaves and love the white highlights and the final coating of gloss over the whole thing, and the background music notes embossed and some coordinating green ink added over the top really completes that wonderful look. x
