I love the detail on this die from Simon Says Stamp.
I cut one fern from Soft Seafoam cardstock and the other from vellum.
Using a finger sponge dauber, I added some Distress Oxide to darken the die cuts,
leaving the vellum fern lighter.
The embossed background works so well with these die cuts.
And a die cut sentiment finishes off this card for an anniversary.
And it works equally well with a copper die cut sentiment.

Two beautiful cards to celebrate an anniversary. I love these fern leaves. I haven't seen this die before. You're absolutely right, it's beautiful. Cutting a second leaf from vellum is a brilliant idea. I love this design.

We must have had ferns on our minds, Bonnie. Wait until you see my card for Color Hues. I love your ferns and the colored vellum gives a lot of depth and dimension to your card.
Both lovely cards Bonnie. Ferns and leaves are so pretty and the contrast between those two diecut ferns adds an extra dimension over the subtle texture of the embossed background 😀
We loved the ferns that grew in our Two Acre Woods so much that we even moved some of them here, Bonnie! These are the ones - gorgeous irl and what a beautiful card they make, too!

Love the combination of cs and vellum ferns! Perfect shading on them with the ink. Great embossed background for them.

Ferns are probably my favorite foliage, and this is so lovely with the ferns all the way through. The embossing makes a beautiful background, and you did an amazing job of creating depth with your vellum frond. Perfect for the color challenge!
This is a really pretty die fern shape, and love the paler background one which you cut from vellum, and given a softer colour to put it in the background, and the fern embossing looks wonderful as the white base layer, and the green mat works well too Bonnie..a beautiful elegant card. x
