Ghosted Daisy

Hi there.  I'm glad you stopped by.

I'm excited that I had success with the CAS Stencil technique.
I tend to have problems with this technique but perseverance paid off!

I'll just say that this wasn't my first attempt!

I used Distress inks to sponge a background, laid my stencil on top,
and spritzed liberally with water.  I immediately (or as fast as I can move)
removed  the stencil, grabbed a paper towel and blotted.

I blotted another inky stencil with a clean piece of cardstock
and it left behind another great background to add to the stash. :-)

I've shaped the die cut daisy to pop on top and die cut the sentiment
from more of the ghosted piece.

What a great effect you achieved with the ghosting effect and so glad you persevered. Such vibrancy on your card, love the stencil you used, the cute white daisy and the die cut sentiment to match. One very striking card and so very eye catching x.

Wow! This is super duper!! Love the bright zingy orange and I was very interested to read how you had created your background. That daisy really pops against it and I think this is a stunning and happy card Bonnie x

Orange is one of those colours I never think to use other than in tiny areas. Your background is stunning Bonnie, your bright orange is the perfect background for your daisy :)

Very successful indeed, Bon-Bon! I love your beautiful card. I just tried ghosting today, but darn, I forgot about then laying the stencil on a clean card to get another background! Thanks for the reminder; I'll just have to play again!! Hugs, Dolly

Way to persevere, Bonnie! Your ghosted stencil background looks amazing. The daisy pops off it beautifully and the sentiment die cut from the same piece ties everything in perfectly. xx

Your card turned out beautiful and I love that flower. I've done this ghosting twice now and it hasn't been successful. I'm not giving up though. Third time is charm. I really like the bright orange color and the flower center is so pretty.

Such a beautiful background for the daisy. I like how you cut the sentiment out of the ghosted paper also. Lovely colors.

You may have trouble with this technique some of the time, but this time it turned out perfectly! It looks like a gorgeous piece of damask fabric. Lovely with the daisy on it!

Fabulous job on this technique and I agree with you that it's not always easy to get a successful background! Your daisy is just beautiful, another technique that challenges me. This is such a happy card, Bonnie.

You did such a great job on this technique, Bonnie! I had several tries to get it right, too...so don't feel bad :) I love your color palette and that you used a bit of your background for your lovely sentiment! I also think your daisy is just perfect! So glad you joined in the fun this month!

It turned out great in the end, Bonnie. I love the bright orange with the daisy. I ended up wetting my paper towel instead of spritzing the panel. Wait until you see what happened. I'm posting it today.

Your persistence certainly did pay off Bonnie! You got a great ghosting image from your beautiful stencil! I love the colors you chose and I love that big white daisy on your background. Such a beautiful daisy and I love your thanks die cut out of your background too. So happy that you got another image for the box with what was left on your stencil. Now, I know this is going to sound dumb, but what does AE stand for?? I don't know the abbreviations and when I do, can't never remember them! Hugs, Brenda
