Oh Deer

Hello friends.

I'm here today to remind you that there's still time to join in the
challenge and birthday celebration at
CAS Christmas

Our host this month is Susan and here's the challenge.

I used a smooshed background piece and added die cuts that
have been sponged a bit.  I tore a snowbank and put it all behind a frame.

It was so much fun and I had this extra deer die, so I did another.

I got the sentiment crooked on this one, so I had to add another snowbank. Oops!

The background was done with re-inkers and a little Frost White paint
on my craft mat and spritzed.  I smooshed some cardstock around in the
paint until I was happy with the coverage.

When the light hits the background, it has a lovely shine.

We're celebrating our first birthday and we have prizes.

The Design Team and our awesome Guest Designer, Chrissie have lots of inspiration for you.

Hope you'll join us.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Gorgeous cards, Bonnie! Your background is so pretty and I love how it sets the wintery scene for your lovely deer and cardinal!

Your background is perfect for this, Bonnie. Love the deer and the addition of the red cardinal- that pop of color. These DO look like fun to do and loved the "save" on the crooked sentiment. Glad to hear that I'm not the only one using a MISTI and still get it on there wrong.

LOVE your artsy smooshed background, Bonnie. Such a beautiful sunny day that looks so cold with that icy blue sky. Your reindeer looks happy looking up at the sweet cardinal in the birch trees. Awesome that you got a twofer to build your stash of Christmas cards! xx

Now what are the chances of twin cardinals meeting twin deer and all four becoming best friends?! I love the concept of that, Bon-Bon, and I'm really loving your smooched backgrounds!! Hugs, Dolly

What a great idea to mix the frost paint with re-inkers. I love that and it looks so pretty. Sweet little red bird and deer watching each other. I'm working on my deer card today.

Both cards are so beautiful, Bonnie! I love your ink smooshed gorgeous background! Adding the frost White paint worked so well to create the wintry sky. The red cardinal pops against the white and the blue. The sponged deer looking up the cardinal is so pretty!
