Magical Bleached Mermaid

Hi there.  I glad you stopped by.

I hope you are feeling good and crafty!

While I had my bleach out for this card, I thought I'd do another.

I used a piece of Brusho background with very intense color and a
NBUS stamp set.

After stamping on the Brusho background, I used the bleach to
remove the most of the color from the stamped mermaid.  I used less bleach
on her tail so it would keep some of the blue color.  After removing most
of the color from her upper half, I colored with watercolor pencils.

Some die cut seaweed from my stash and a strip from cutting
the background placed horizontally added a bit more interest.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

My bleach has remained in the laundry room, but I'm sure happy to see you've gotten a bit more out of yours!

Fantastic job getting the mermaid white enough to color her. The last time I did this years ago my bleach did not do nearly as well. Fun card, Bonnie and as always, wonderful coloring!

Wow, gorgeous Brusho ocean, Bonnie! I love the vibrant blue and the way Brusho spread. You did a fantastic job of bleaching, changing the level of beaching.
Adding the horizontal matching strip is a brilliant idea!

Beautiful! Wonderful brusho colours for the background and a great job varying how much bleach you used to keep more colour in some places than in others.

You know so many techniques Bonnie and your coloring is always fantastic. Now you have me singing the Disney song "Under the Sea"
You know - "things are much wetter under the sea"
