Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
Not long ago, my friend Bobby came for a visit. And she brought some card making
goodies with her. We spent the day stamping, die cutting and glimmering.
She brought me a wonderful stamp and die set and since she has the same set, she
suggested we both make a card with it and post on the same day.
I was more than up for the challenge.
The set is Simple Stems from Waffleflower and here's my card.
You can see Bobby's card HERE.
There are lots of stamps in this set!
I stamped some on mixed media paper with VersaMark and heat embossed
with white powder. To color, I used Stampin' Up! inks by squishing ink
into the lid and picking up the color with a waterbrush.
After I had images colored, I die cut them and played with some arrangements.
This was my favorite arrangement.
I also inked up some of the stamps with Distress Markers for a no-line look.
Before she left we decided to take a selfie.
We should have got a video! We got to laughing so hard that we couldn't
hold the phones straight. Fortunately we got one that was passable.
Next time we need to get a photographer.
And I hope we don't have to wait very long for a next time.
I had a blast Bobby, and our day together is filed under
Favorite Memories! 💓
Now over to Bobby's blog to see what she did with this set.
I hope you'll check it out too.

Two beautiful cards. I love how you used different techniques on each one. Love the verse on the 2nd card. Looks like you both had a fun filled and crafty day. Thanks for sharing the photo.
How wonderful! Both your cards, and the blessing of having a day together crafting!
Love your little bird, Bonnie - he looks so happily at home among your arrangement of those WF sprigs and blooms! the gold ring and twine was a brilliant addition.
But OH! there's that wonderful sentiment again - and fantastic no-line coloring - this one shines all its wonder on your skills, my friend!

You have mad no-line coloring skills, Bonnie. The layers and sentiment on that card are wonderful. The bird was a great touch on the first card and I love the flowers embossed in white. I sure hope we do get a chance at another play date.
Such a sweet bird to accompany your white embossed flowers and the gold circle and twine finish it beautifully Bonnie, and the no line colouring for the second is equally gorgeous and with some wonderful colouring too...love that sentiment. Glad you had a fun day with Bobby and a great set of stamps to be gifted. x
How fun you guys got to spend the day together crafting, eating and laughing. The most perfect day! The cards are beautiful. The gold circle framed the bird so beautifully and the cord is so pretty. You coloring is always lovely and both flowers are gorgeous. The sentiment is wonderful. A great selfie of you both and shows what fun you are having.
What a fun day...wish I had someone nearby to play with too! Beautiful card..that gold circle really sets off the bird and flowers in such a lovely way!
What a fun day you had! Both cards turned out beautifully! Love the challenge too. That first card just speaks to me- so beautiful with the gold framing and I'm intrigued by the out of the box technique on the second card. To fantastic cards, Bonnie!
Ah, this sounds like a fun day and your cards both turned out so pretty! Really love both designs with the beautiful stamps, and the sentiment on the second is lovely and true. I will head over to Bobby's now. Thanks, Bonnie!
Sounds like a fun play day ♥, love the cards especially that sweet little bird. :)
Two beautiful cards, especially the first one. I love the sweet little bird perched on the flowers. The addition of the gold circle and gold twine is perfect. What fun to get together with Bobby! Sure wish I could craft with you!
What a special time to spend with a friend doing the craft you love together ...miss this myself.. and a fabulous idea of Bobby's to make cards with the same stamp set.... AND you both have created beautiful cards. Bonnie I love your first with the little birds to enhance the lovely white embossed floral - gorgeous watercolouring and you second is so special too - no line painting with the little tips of die cut leaves and wonderful sentiment ..beautiful post, hugs Robyn
Two absolutely BEAUTIFUL cards with your new stamp set Bonnie!! I love the soft water coloring on both cards, and especially how you framed the circle in the first card with the gold. So glad you and Bobby got to spend the day together and create fun memories...it's always so much more fun stamping with friends!! Hugs. :0)
How fun! Love it that the two of you got to spend some crafty time together! Both of your cards are extra pretty! Love your coloring and the wonderful sentiment on your second one. Cute photo, looks like you both had loads of fun!
Two gorgeous cards, Bonnie, and how fun you & Bobby could craft together!!
Two very pretty cards, and I just adore the delicate gold accents on the first -- they are just the cherry on top!
How fun for the two of you to gather, I'm a bit envious of those who have "buds" close enough to do so... Off to see Bobby's card!
What pretty cards, love the design of the first with that cute little bird and the no line water colouring in the second looks beautiful. You sure both look like you had a fun day crafting and laughing and thank you for sharing the selfie Bonnie x.
Awww, it warms the heart when friends can get together for a day of laughter, creating and just plain fun! I'm so glad you and Bobby were able to get together! Both of your cards are just gorgeous. I love your card Bonnie, it is you to a "T"! The beautiful gold die cut circle with the leaves, bird and flower is just stunning. Your second card is stunning too, I love the no line coloring which you are so good at. Selfies are hard to take aren't they?! lol But this one is a cute one I think of the two of you and now you have it to look back on such a wonderful day of laughter, friendship and creating! So awesome!!! Hugs, Brenda
Oh I love the photo of the pair of you giggling together! Glad you had such a lovely day :) What wonderful cards you made. I love the little bird on that textured panel, beautifully embellished with the pretty flower and gold cord. The flower spray looks wonderful coloured with the no line technique too and what a lovely sentiment that is! Vicky x
The day spent with a friend is priceless. It is obvious that you two had a pleasant time together. I think that making a good selfie is not an easy task. It is better not to laugh at the time. :-)
You've created a stunning card with new goodies. I like this little spring scene. Great color combination.

How fun to spend time crafting with Bobby in person, Bonnie! The beautiful smile of both of you in the picture tells everything.
Your little bird is so sweet, and happy resting among the beautifully arranged sprigs and the flower.
Your no-line coloring is beautiful and delicate. Love that the leaves continue over the panel with the die-cuts. Beautiful sentiment!

Beautiful cards Bonnie and I know all too well just how attractive your bird cards are. I have one sitting on a shelf in our den where I can always see it!
