Butterfly on Vellum

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

It's time for a new challenge at CAS Mix Up!

This month my super friend Coni is the host and she's asking us to use...

I've used Copic markers to color on the back of this stamped and
heat embossed butterfly.   I die cut the vellum butterfly and another plain white
butterfly from cardstock to put behind.  This makes the coloring show up better.

A little dry embossing and a pretty frame from a sweet friend gave the
butterfly a happy place to rest.

Oh, and I found a bag of tiny multicolor gems to add some schparkle.

Won't you join our fantastically talented Design Team and
equally talented Guest Designer, Hannelie with
some Alcohol Inked vellum?

I hope to see you in the gallery!
Challenges:
CAS Mix Up - Use Alcohol Inks, stamping and at least 1 other mixed medium

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Butterfly Garden (PB)
Ink:   Whisper White
Paper:   Neenah, Vellum, Gold Foil

Such a sweet, summery card. I love to make cards with butterflies and blues and greens are 2 of my most favorite colors so this card just sang out to me. Have a good holiday weekend, my friend.

Love this gorgeous colour combo on this beautiful butterfly Bonnie. The addition of the embossed zig zag adds interest without detracting from the centrepiece of your card. Fab! x

I wasn't thinking of using Copics when I saw alcohol ink on vellum. Your butterfly is gorgeous with his vellum wings, Bonnie, and the underwings really make them show up. Love that gold frame.

Beautiful butterfly - love the way it's coloured from behind with the Copics. Great layout with the overlapping squares.

Such a pretty butterfly you've made. Love these two colors together and the lovely embossing. Luckily you had that delicate shiny gold frame to show it off so beautifully. Using the dry embossing and sweet jewels really finishes this off to perfection.

I'm certain this is one of the prettiest butterflies I've ever seen! Love the white embossing with pastel wings, and the gold frame is the perfect choice to set it off. The zig zag is a really nice touch, too.

I just left a comment for Loll about how I am loving how alcohol inks look on vellum and can't wait to try it. I love how your card came out Bonnie, that butterfly is stunning. Love how you used that wonky square frame under your butterfly, gives such a unique look! And of course I love your embossing too. Hugs, Brenda

Such an extremely delicate card, Bonnie. I love the embossing in the background and the butterfly looks stunning. White embossing on vellum creates the effect of an extra dimension, and the marker colors are perfect. The golden frame beautifully focuses the attention on the butterfly.
